Johnson Deluxe Celtic Bouzouki (MA-500) All Solid Wood

We’ve taken our Bouzoukis back to their roots and "reintroduced" a line designed from traditional Celtic models. These Bouzoukis are made from all solid woods. We select only choice spruce with tight, uniform grain.

The back and sides are made from hard maple and the neck is mahogany, shaped for maximum comfort. We use a traditional X-braced soundboard, but outfit the instrument with an adjustable truss rod for modern reliability.

Other features include multi-ply body binding, a rosewood fretboard and bridge, a compensated saddle, and high-quality chrome plated tuning machines.

The new Deluxe Bouzouki (MA-500) features improved looks, sound and playability. It comes with an extra deep body that gives it a bigger sound with lots of bark. It has a gracefully shaped, offset double cutaway design to allow easy access to the upper frets.

It features highly flamed maple back & sides with a chocolate brown finish. The body is bound in grained ivoroid with Abalone purfling. Other features include diecast tuning machines with a 16:1 gear ratio, a compensated rosewood bridge, and an ivoroid heal cap.
